—The Ai>vkwtiskk is pleased
a' the universal endorsement of
its editorial in last week's issue,
m "The Result" of the Demo-
cratic primaries and county con-
vention, and every Democrat is
falling into line. If the conven-
tion for the nomination of a coun-
ty ticket will only act wisely and
with caution, laying aside all pre-
judice and place a strong ticket
in the field, it will be carried to a
triumphant victory in November.
Let every Democrat work for the
utmost harmony in the ranks.
No democrat should expect to
carry every point before a con-
vention, nor can all the personal
views and wishes of every demo-
crat be adopted. Democrats
should freely discuss issues with-
in the ranks and cheerfully abide
tlie result. If you lose, quickly
fall in line; if you win, expect
the "other fellow" to fall in line
with you. This is democracy, of
the "brass-collar" kind. It is
"all wool and a full yard wide."
and to be trusted in every emer-
gency. Give and take is the
motto of all true democrats.

to-day. ThiMjualificationsof these
gentlemen are well known to the
people of Hastrop county, and
require no commendation from
the Auvkutiskk. They have
been faithful to every trust, and
worthy of being further trusted.
—Decoration day was generally
observed by the ladies Saturday
last, but very few gentlemen were
at the Cemetery, on account of
its being Saturday, the business
man's busiest day. Kvery grave
in Fairview received attention.
A week earlier, or a week later,
flowers would have been more
abundant, but as it was, the ladies
distributed them over the differ-
ent graves, that of the stranger
not being overlooked.
