A well attended and enthusi-
astic meeting of the Bastrop
base ball fans was held at the
Mayor's office Tuesday afternoon.
Jack Jenkins was elected Presi-
dent and T. W. Cain, Secretary.
Upon motion a permanent
finance committee consisting of
W. J. Miley, Woody Townsend,
Alf Griesenbeck and B. C. Clark
was appointed and who will at
once solicit subscriptions for the

Mrs. James Moore has return-
ed from an extended visit to Ft.
Worth, where she was guest of
Dr. and Mrs. Thompson. She
was summoned there on account
of an accident, causing the tem-
porary paralysis of her young
grandson, James Thompson,
who in playing a game with
discs was struck on the head-
Serious fears were entertained
concerning his recovery, but -.he
reports him as doing splendidly
with sure hope of permanent
cure.
