McPADE, Sept. If--There's an old
saying, "Where there's a will there's
a way." The same old sun shines on
all the world. Trust in God and
stick to your job. "Faint hearts
never won fair lady." ilod helps those
who help themselves. Never pay at-
tention to luck; that? what the fool
had when he killed himself with over
eating collard sprouts. I he only
luck we know anything about is
made up of "sweat it out and stick-
ing plaster.
Our own (legs beat stilts "all hol-
ler." Never look to anybody fo>
help, but trust in G'«l and be sure to
keep your powder dry.

Smart, indeed, will your new
dress be if you choose this clever
pattern and reproduce it on a fig-
ured silk with satin for the trim-
ming. The very newest touch of
all is seen on the large applique
motif of the satin on the front of
the waist.
See how "Parisian" it makes the
whole dress! The new ray.n mate-
rials would make up nicely in the
model. May be obtained in sizes
16 to 44. Size 36 requires V * yards
of 40-inch material and 1?<6 yards
of satin for skirt and trimming.
No dressmaking experience is
needed to make Design No. 1152
