[Letter from E. D. Tarpley to Charles Moore, June 18, 1863]

Letter from E. D. Tarpley to Charles Moore, discussing the nearly total failure of fruit crops in the hilly part of Bedford and that there has been steady rain after a dry season that is threatening the other crops. There has been no groundwater due to the local creek overflowing, so they've had to make do with buttermilk. He also mentions that illness has been unusually common lately.
