What's (looking Victory Vcwtahles!
These pictures just refeased by the army air forces, show the first of
the new 15 ptace troop-carrying gtiders, the CG-4A, now in quantity pro-
duction. The gtider can carry 15 fuiiy equipped men, inctuding pitot and
eo-pitot. It has a wing span of 83 feet, 8 inches, and a iength of 48 feet,
3 inches. At the top we get a good idea of the giider's size by comparing
it with the size of the men. Betow is an interior view showing pitot and
co-pitotatthecontrots.

Japanese in a prison camp. Maj. Gen. Jonathan M. Wainwright is pur-
portedty shown at the right, wearing a steet hetmet. with the other Amer-
icans captured when the fortress of Corregidor feti before overwhetming
Jap forces.

Navy Diver's Boat in Salvage Operation
Navy diver's boat from Atameda naval air station, San Francisco,
assists the army air force in recovering wreckage of a twin engined army
bomber which crashed in San Pab!o bay. Occurring white the piane
was on a routine Might, the crash took the lives of three officers and one
eniisted man. On striking the water the craft burst into Hames. Note
charred wreckage.
