mention one of the simple things we
can do to give a quick lift to break-
fast. luncheon or dinner—try making
Golden Apple Juice Jeily.
Fortunately, nowadays wc don't
have to depend upon fresh fruits to
make our favorite jellies and jams.
Frozen, bottled, and canned fruits
and juiccs are always available and
are just as good as the fresh fruit in
jellymaking. Our recipe for today
will be good at every meal you pre-
pare. And, if you want to start the
day right, treat your family to some
breakfast pancakes topped with Ap-
ple Juice Jelly. They'll love it.
Making this jelly is very simple
and inside of fifteen minutes you'll
APPLE JUtCE JEUY
(Using bottled apple juice)
Yield obout & medium glasses
3% cups sugar
3 cups bottled apple juice
1 box Sure-Jell powdered fruit pccttn
Measure suenr and set aside. Meas-
ure juice into large saucepan; add
powdered fruit pectin and mix wcl!
Place saucepan over high heat and
stir until mixture comes to a hard
boil. At once stir in sUHar BrinK to a
/uH rolling boil and hot! hard 1 min-
ute, stirring constantly Remove frnm
heat, skim off foani with metal spoon
and pour quickly into glasse Cover
icily at once with mch hot paraffin.
