The amounts specified above are appropriated from revenues received during the
fiscal year beginning with the effective (late of this Act, and from any balances on
hand at the beginning of said fiscal year in the Optometry Fund (No. 34).
Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Appropriation Act, the Optometry
Board is hereby authorized to expend funds appropriated herein for legal services
as authorized )y Article 4552-2.08, Vernon's Revised Civil Statutes of Texas. Sec-
tion 44 of Article V of this Act shall not apply; provided however, that none of the
above funds shall lbe expend(ld for the purpose of hiring any attorney that is cur-
rently employed by another State agency.
