Education:
Lincoln Elementary (School, Edge wood High, Durham College, South-
west School of Court Deporting, graduating as Certified Paralegal. She was
the only student ever to maintain an "A" average through this course.
Religious Affiliations:
Mrs. Granderson accepted Christ in June, 1958. She was baptized by
the late Qev. W.J. Johnson, and joined St Luke Baptist Church under his
patronage. When her father, Dev. S.H. Bedford, Sr., was called to pastor the
St Paul Baptist Church, she joined with her parents. She later joined her
husband at New St Mark Baptist Church. She served New St Mark faithfully as a
member of the Ministers, Deacons and Trustee Wives Council, member of
Mission No.l, pastor's secretary, and many other church activities.
She became ill in Dallas, Texas while attending Chapel Crest Baptist
Church services with New St Mark, her church. This was on June 16,1991 The
Lord called her home on June 29,1991
Mae leaves to mourn and cherish her beautiful memory: a devoted
husband, Rev. E.L. Granderson, father and stepmother, Rev. & Mrs. S.H.
Bedford, Sr., one son, Dwayne A. Reed, one daughter, Dzondria L. Lavalais,
three grandchildren, Davar J. Lavalais, Desire N. Reed, and Denisha Lavalais-,
two sisters, Eologene Harris of Houston, Texas, and Dorothy Ann Williams of
San Antonio. One brother, Rev. S.H. Bedford, Jr. of San Antonio-, two brother-
in-laws, Rev. Steve Harris, Houston, and Rop Williams, of San Antonio. One
sister-in-law, Mrs. Eva Bedford of San Antonio-, grandmother, Mrs. Lillie Johnson,
Hallisville , nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
