members of the Bastrop, Elgin
and Smithville boys football and
basketball teams, the girls bas-
ketball teams and their dates
with 111 annual barbecue supper
Thursday night, March 24, at
-ix o'clock at the American
Legion Center.
Following the sypper which
consisted of barbecued beef and
.-ausage, red beans,, potato salad,
pickle.-, bread and sofe drinks,
( oach Larry Turner of Bastrop,
on behalf of the other Rastrop
coaches, B. J. Wolf and Mrs.

exprt sed their appreciation to
Mr. Hoskins for the delicious
meal and hospitality. He intro-
duced Richard Smith who spoke
a few words on behalf of the
entire football team; Ronnie
Patton spoke for the basketball
team and said that 'ie had been
going to the affairs for four
