Michael Bradley holds the position of member-at-large in the Turtle Creek Chorale. A native of
Kansas City, Mo., he moved to Dallas in 1980 at the age of 12. The 37-year-old has been a mem-
ber of the chorale since 1992. He is the president of the Turtle Creek Chorale AIDS Fund. He
works as a sales representative and is also a waiter at Hector's on Henderson.
How did you join the chorale?
TweKe years after I moved to Dallas, a member of the chorale, Joe Garza, talked to me about
joining and signed me up for an audition. I auditioned and I'm still here.
Is it i rd to manage your time during concert season?
Yes and no. You have to learn to balance. Sometimes it's hard to maintain a relationship, but
as long as you prioritize everything works out OK.
The group has more than 200 members. Is it difficult to get to know everyone personally?
Yeab/%e try to get to know everyone, but it can be hard to remember everyone's names.
Faces I can remember, but not everyone's names. And the membership changes continually,
so that makes it harder.
What las been the most valuable part of your chorale experience?
Being under the direction of Tim Seelig, and being part of a great organization that touches peo-
ple's lives through music.
At an end-of-season ceremony, you received an officer gratitude award. How do you feel
about that?
It's very nice to be thanked for all that you do. It's humbling.
