Dear Johns
I enclose "herewith a letter from the United States
Department of Labor. I am thinking of appointing Tony
Campos as Assistant State Director. Do you think that
he will truthfully help the State LULAC?
In the event I appoint Tony Campos, then I expect
him to take charge of at least the Houston area and the
Waco area.
Due to a number of things, I have not made any
trips in behalf of LULAC except in this particular area,
for example, I have been to Taft, Texas, Alice, Texas
and I am going to Kingsville, Texas this Saturday, March
31, 1962. However, I have written numerous letters to
many of the councils in the State of Texas.
Let me have your thoughts on the appointment of
Tony Campos and on any other matter that you feel I
should be aware of. Thanks for your continued assistance.
Best wishes.
Youfor a greater LULACt
