Alvin Ously, a prominent attorney
ot Denton, Texas, was here pros-
pecting the first of the week. Mr.
Ously was pleasantly surprised in
the wonderful showing made bjt the

Mrs. D. R. Gass left last Satur-
day for a visit of some length with
her sons, Charlie Gass at St. Joe,
Texas, and C. L. Gass at Ringgold,
Texas.
Rev. McDonald of Bovina, Metho-
dist minister who preaches at Surn-
merfield on the first Sunday ot each
month, came here Monday to take
the train. Mrs. Johnson accompan-
ied him.
Rev. Geo. Smith of Dublin, Texas,
accompanied by his mother from
McKinuey, Texas, are here on a
visit to Mrs. Smith's daughter, Mrs.
J. A. Freeman.

Odell Elliott of Dallas joined bis
wife here Sunday on a visit to his
parents and many friends. Odell,

good with that concern and now
holds the responsible position of
General Division Clerk of the Ac-
counting Department.
Major L. J. Caraway of Weather-
ford, Texas, arrived in Hereford
yesterday from Wellington where he
has been visiting with daughter,
Mrs. A. Y. Bell. While Mr. Car-
away is here on a visit to his daugh-
ter, Mrs Walter Megert, he counts
the entire population as bis friends,
and some of the older citizens are
especial cronies.

Miss Velma, of Celina, Texas, who
have been here on a visit to Mrs.
McCoy's daughter, Mrs. Russell
Carroll, returned home Tuesday.
They were accompanied by Miss
