HALL MADE ELI HISTORY
NEW HAVEN Conn. GB—Robert
A. Hall who stepped down recently
as Yale's athletic director to en
ter private business made foot
ball history in the Yale-Army game
of 1929 when he stepped out. Hall
had been quarterback up to the
point Army was leading 13-0. Then
Yale pulled him out and put Albie
Booth in. That ended Army's
march. Booth tallied three touch
downs and Yale won 21 to 13. As
Herman Hickman later Yale's
coach told it Hall let Army score
purposely to make Booth famous.
