part of National Children's
Dental Health Week.

trict as well as post elemen
tary schools to take the mes
sage of preventive dental
measures to the children.

SENTINEL SHORTS
A HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM for
women of Ft. Hood and adjacent civilian com
munities will be conducted by the Darnall hospital
staff Wednesday and Thursday. The subject of
the program will be early detection of breast
cancer. The four-part session will be held in
Theater 1 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. each of the two
days.
THE WEST POINT glee club will appear
in Killeen Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. The 140-man choral
group will sing at the Killeen High School.
THE SPEED LIMIT on Highway 190 has
been lowered between the Killeen city limits and
Cental Texas College.
AUDITIONS for the Special Services pro
duction of "A Thousand Clowns" will be held
Feb. 12 from 7 to 10 p.m. and Feb. 13 and
14 from 1 to 5 and from 7 to 10 p.m. in the
Little Theater Bldg. 3404 Brigade Avenue just
west of 172nd Street.

clinic along with those from
other post dental clinics will
visit all elementary schools to
present preventive dentistry
programs during the week.

Vehicle Registration Office or through the Bell Coun
ty Courthouse Annex in Killeen.
If your car was registered in Texas last year
simply bring your 1971 registration renewal slip to
either of these offices to obtain 1971 Texas plates.
If your car was registered in another state last

grams designed to help the

The primary service that
Family Housing provides is
that of finding suitable housing
for the more than 17 thousand
military .families at Ft. Hood.
There are only 3060 housing
units on post for the 17
thousand so the military has

for maximum support.
When the family man-soldier'
first learns that he will be
coming to Ft. Hood he can
write to the Family Housing
office for information. They
will in turn send a brochure
about the post and other in-
formation con cerning

Family Housing Office's Task:

a six-year obligation he
qualifies for on-post housing.
According to Family Hous
ing there is a waiting list and

to wait six or more months
for on-post housing. Cqmpany

eight months. The waiting list
is based upon the individual's
date of arrival.

available or the enlisted man

personnel in obtaining suitable
off-post housing.

1971 National Children's Dental Health Week
WHEREAS: THe future is to a large measure
dependent on the good health of our children and
youth the citizens of tomorrow and
WHEREAS: good health physical and mental
can be achieved through good health habits learned

General Fort Hood Texas do hereby proclaim the
week of February 7 through 13 1971 as Children's
Dental Health Week at Fort Hood and urge that
all join in the observance.
