Mrs. Beverley E. Powell wife
of the commanding general of
III Corps and Fort Hood as
she payed tribute to the wives
at the May luncheon of the Of
ficers' Wives Club. This occasion
was the final meeting for the
current club year and the last
such luncheon for Mrs. Powell
whose husband retires this sum
mer. Mrs. Powell was presented
with a crystal decanter on an
engraved silver tray for her
three years of attention as
honorary president of the OWC.
The meeting also included
with it the installation of the
new officers for the 1971-72 club

Recognition Ceremony for the
new Red Cross Volunteers took
place on April 26 at the 2nd
Armd. Div. Memorial Chapel.

The officers' wives of the 1st
Bn. 50th Inf. had a short
business meeting at the home
of Mrs. Donald C. Miller. Wives

for a 5-7 minute impromptu
speech.

elected delegate to the Texoma
Regional meeting to be held in
Amarillo June 5-6.

recent marriage.
