tenant Joe Hico who on receiving it
returned thanks iu behalf of his com-
pany for the high honor conferred up-
on them; also for the many courtesies
they had received since their arrival Iu
this city. Three cheers were proposed
bv the Travis Bines and glveu heart l-
ly by the Immense crowd. The medal
was then presented by General Ord to
Captain A. a Bobcrta who received It
acknowledging ou the part of his com-
pany their satisfaction at the mannvr
of awards. After a short drill of Pro-
fessor James' cadets of the Texas Mil-
itary Institute In which they showed
great proficiency tho crowd began to
disperse and thus closed the tblrd day
of the Fair which has been a success
beyond tlie expectations of the most
sanguine of fts friends. Hit grand

tion of old Flemish carvings in oak
