The ereens are in top shape, the fairways are greener
and srassier ami the new tee-boxes are ready for the 20th
annua! Sweetwater invitational amateur golf tournament
whick will be helo Fr.dav. Saturday and Sun :iy Ai>rii _

So far only a few persons have posted qualifying scores
for the tournament but around 70 persons are expected to
post scores Thursday and Friday
Norman Supah'er. local pro. has asked that all persons
who plan to enter and can possiblv post a score Thursday
to do so in order to avoid a last minute rush and also the
offk ^s can start the pairing of the players so that the
matches can get under way on time.
The pro-am-18-bole tournament is scheduled to get
■—■to way at 9 am. Friday and all persons who are inter-
ested in playing in this event are asked to be at the links
by 8:45 *

of Wednescay night's game. Mat-
hews clouted a three-run homer in-
to the centerfield bullpen. Cub out-
fielder Bob Talbot got a glove on
