27 he left Wasliinuton by special car
for his lioiue in Augusta. On iho same
(lay. Messrs. 1-islii-r and Mulligan ar-
rived in Washington to continue their
testimony. A dispatch to tho lloslou
Herald oi that date says: I ncv were
greatly annaved at heitig detained until
