The members of the Cowboy Hand
wore very agreeably surprised lust
Tuesday to receive severnl crates of
line Klberta peaches sent by Mr. ft.
It. Johnson of Mndale Texas. Mr.
JohiiBou went to the reunion at Ma-
con In the same car with the band
and he promliied the bos that he
would send them some of bis fine
pcnchffl when they bej;an to ripen.
The boys are proud and grateful
for the remembrance and will extend
Mr. Johnson an Invitation to make
the trip with them to Chattanooga
next year.
Some weeks ago the Fort 'Worth
Kerord became grievously offended
at District Judge SvAne of Fort
Worth and In a vigorous manner laid
down the mandate that he must be
driven from the bench and It did not
take Ions to find n Pavld in the per-
son of llruce Young to put to sleep
the- unholy Judge who hud found
disfavor In the eyes of the ftocord.
Mr. Young was put tinder a course
of groom and In due time was enter
ed for the race. Then it was that the
people of Tarrant county hud their
say and the result shows that Judge
Swnyne has been re-nomlnated by u
grout hi'; inajo'iiy.
