Mrs. Harmon Scott and children,

from Weston last Tuesday. Miss I 'iir--
nle Wiley accompanied them home.
Mrs. tithel Harris spent several

Mrs. Boone, at Trinity and helped to
nurse her little nephew who Is very
sick.
There w is a large crowd in attend-
ance at Sunday school Sunday morn-
ing. There will be preaching next
Sunday, Si-pt. 3rd. Conic and bring
some one with you.
Walter Kwion was here front Helms
last Wednesday. He st ited that his
mother-in-law. Mrs. J. H. Bradley,
who fell sometime ago and sustained
a fractured limb, is able to walk with
the aid of a crutch.
Mr and Mrs. J. K Drury and chil-
dren motored over to Denton Sunday
and spent the day with their cousins.
Misses Delia and Mittle Bounds. They
returned home more satisfied than
ever with Collin county and her pike
roads.
There is some complaint of scarcity
of water, still we would not like to
see a heavy rain as cotton is opening
so fast that it would cause it to waste.
Every one is busy in the cotton f I el's.
some are wanting cotton pickers, but
they seem to Vie hard to find.

law, Clay Duncan, of Fonelne spent
Tuesday night with their uncle, j. 11.
Mc<'andless. They were on their way
home from Clay county where they
had been prospecting.
J. H. McCandless and son, Charlie,
returned last Monday night from
Clay county where they spent a week
in prospecting. J. R. rented a *Ood
farm out tin re of one hundred and
fifty acres in cultivation and a hun-
dred acres In pasture, a good house
and orchard and plenty of water. He
is expecting to move there as soon as
he enn get his crops gathered.

Jack Nelson has been on the sick
list the past week but Is able to be at
his post of duty again. Jack works

Davis is completing a fine residence
in the north part of town, whilu in
the west part L. J. Anderson is

progress for nearly two weeks, closed

son, Anthony, were returning home
from Mr. (leer's parents Sunday
night when Mrs. Geer w.-s the victim
of a very painful accident. They
were riding on a motorcycle when
Mrs, Geer and liabv fell off. The
baby received only a slight bruise,
but Mrs. Goer's collar bone was brok-
en besides some oilier injuries. It
