Bridges of the Lockhart Echo was
in our office on business a day or two
this week. He was contemplating
establishing a " branoh office " at Lu
ting. He did not just say so (he is a
stubborn boy) but we thought we da-
tected in him signs of remorse tor bis
former depreciation of our beautiful
town and still more beautiful ladies.
But we oannot forgive him except on
open confession of his sins.

Mr. Editor : Since Professor
Hensley opened his Commercial School
in our town I have visited it daily
witb a view to being able to form a just
estimate of its merits; and after a close
observation of his methods and nianuer
of teaching; and judging by the pro-
gress ttlready made by those attending
the school I feel warranted in saying
that we have in this school an institu-
tion which we ought to foster.
Having had muoh personal ex per-
ence in Book-keeping and considerable
knowledge of tbe methods employed in
teaching it in Commercial Colleges I
feel no hesitation in saying that we
have in Prof. Hensley a fully compe-
tent and gifted teacher who by recent
aod varied experienct in teaching this
beautiful and useful art is well quali-
fied to teach it in all its branches and
in its most modern aod practical forms.
He is sn accomplished peosman.and in'
every sense a plessant gentleman who
by his suave and dignified deportment
in tho school-room snd esrnest snd
impartial efforts to impart instruction
secures the attention respect esteem
aod improvement of all his pupils.
To those wishing to acquire this art
I wish to say that you can do it here
in this school in a shorter time and at
less expense thsn at any place within
my knowledge. Fifty dollars will cover
all expenses of books blanks paper
peoa ink and tuition. Tbe present
session will continue to the 1st of May
next. Those intending to enter should
do ao by tbe 1st of January.
I feel that I cannot toe earnestly
commend thia school to the patronage
of the public. A. B. F.Keir
