The suggestion of A. H. Richards
the Jeweler published some time ago
ia The Herald that each merchant in
the city serve notice on each eastern
firm with which he deals that the car-
nival is to be held and mail him a
raraira! button with a gentle remind-
er that a remittance would be highly
appreciated meets with general ap-
proval. The idea will be carried out and to
that end slips will be printed by the
committee and furnished the merchant.
Tbeslip will contain only a few words
and be to the point and it Is believed
the scheme will work to perfection.
The ball game tomorrow between
picked nines is attracting much at-
tention and he attendance is certain
to be larger. The entire gate receipts
go to the carnival committee. It is
expected that a neat sum will be re-
alised from this source.
