Good Hope Revival
Started Sunday
A summer revival got off to
a good start Sunday morning
at the Good Hope Church in
Smith county, with the Rev.
Carter preaching at each ser-
vice.
During the tenure of the re-
vival services are scheduled to
be held twice each day, at 11
o'clock in the morning and at
7 each night.
The membership of the
church cordially invites all to
attend any or all of the ser-
vices.
Waging an intensive and ef-
fective campaign in all sections ■
of Texas, Giles, 37, had 17 years!
working experience in the de-
partment under former Commis-
sioners J. T. Robison and J. H.
Walker. He has not served
under the present commissioner.
Giles, Moore said, favors crea-
tion of a state land leasing
board, improvement of the va-
cancy laws, bona-fide occupants
of land having the preference
right to any actual vacancy,
correction of state abstracts,
proper preservation of records,
honesty and impartiality in ad-
ministering the office.
Giles is against vacancy rack-
eteering, Moore said, clouding of
land titles, outside influence
dominating the land office, the!
unjustified gambling with school
funds that already has cost the
schools millions the past year
and a half, favoritism in award-
ing oil leases on state lands, and
confusing, deceptive, tricky lo-
garithmic bidding for leases.

victories as attorney general
and his outstanding record as
the three-term district attor-
ney of Dallas county.
"I offer you this record as
proof of what I can do for Tex-
as as governor," he said. "Work-
ing as I have with every state
department, I think I can well
say that I know all depart-
ments well."
McCraw cited his victories
in defending the farm co-op-

against court attacks as proof
that he can serve the people
well.
