Thetu Chis are sponsoring the
dance in connection with their
centennial celebration which of-

Princess ami The Pea" are two
Opera Workshop productions which
have been scheduled for this
month, according to the office of
Dr. W. H. Hodgson, dean of the
School of Music.
A contemporary work by Ernest
Tuch, "The Princess and The Pea"

Rotary club April 20 and 21. "La
Serva Pavrona," an 18th-century

Musicians Attend
Springfield Festival
Kour faculty members of the
School of Music are attending the
15th annual Music festival of the
Springfield public schools which
opened Tuesday a n d vill end
Thursday in Springfield, Mo.
Members of the faculty who will
act as clinicians during the fes-
tival are Dr. Walter II. Hodgson,
dean of the School of Music; Dr.
George Morey; Dr. Roderick Gor-
ilou, and Russell Miller.
The festival will be held on the
campuses of Springfield Central
high school, Drury college, and
.Southwest Missouri State college.
The faculty members will drive
to SI. Louis Friday where they will
lie joined by Miss Maude Garnett,
associate professor of music edu-
cation, to represent North Texas
at, the Music Educator's National
conference's bi-annual national
convention being held Friday
through Sunday.

Initiation of pledges into the
Chemistry club will be held Thurs-
day at 7 p.m. in Masters hall.

wore test tubes containing brushes
around their necks. They were also
given a compound to work out and
were required to clean laboratories
"The Theatre of the Soul," first
of three one-act plays to be pre-
sented May 17-18 in the Studio
theatre by College Players, has
been cast, according to Joe John-
son, director of the drama.

He explained that this play is
expressioiiistic. The second one to
be presented, "Ways and Means,"
is a bedroom comedy, and the third,
"Private Life of the Master Race,"
is an epic theatre production.
