Greens Fall Again

The North Tuu Whit* Uam defeated the Green team 30 21 for
the second si.-eight «Mk in MrKinney Saturday night
Coach Odu« Mitchell, who had picked the (irwn team !o win both

the offensive attack for the Whites
Tha Whites moved out to a 30-7 lead early in the game, and Vidal
Carlin pulled tha Green team within nine point* in the fourth quarter
with two touchdown passes
Capping a 7# yard drive, fullback Tony Reese plunged 1 yard to
rive the Whites a t-0 lead with 7 01 left in the first quarter
On the ensuing kickoff Carlin led the Green tram on a 06-yard
drive, ita longest of tha lufht, and put the Green unit on the scoreboard
with a 1-yard dhre. Hardy lurke's kick gave the Greens a brief 7-H
lead.
Than with 12:22 laft in the sacond half Tom Kitrhey intercepted
one of Carlin's flat pastas and dashed .IS yard* for the go-ahead touch-
down. John Love added the conversion for a 13 7 lead
Before the gun sounded for half time l.ove kicked a 29-yard field
goal to make the score 16-7 as the White* slowly pulled away
Boland opened the third quarter with a 36-yard touchdown pass to
James Russell. Then later in the aame stanza Reese got his second Tl
on a 1-yard plunge after Martin Kahn had recovered the fourth Green
fumble of the night.
In the fourth quarter Carlin threw touchdown striken of 26 and 10
yards to Jerry Suhler and Mike Bailey
Boland completed 10 of 16 paise* for 177 yards to beat Carlin, who
hit 11 of 26 for 186 yards Love led the rusher* with 46 yard* on
eight carries.

Eaglets Win First Meet
It was all green and white Fri-
day as the Kaglet trackmen posted
their first meet win this season in
the freshman-junior college compe-
tition at Fouts Field.
The kaglets ran up fS/i points in
the abbreviated meet, which was
minus the javelin, triple jump and
the intermediate hurdles. Texas
Christian's WogB were a distant
second with 21) points.
l.arry Priestley led the Kaglets
in total points for the meet He
entered four events and finished
first in two the broad jump, with
a leap of 22-10, and the 100-yard
dash, with a 10 flat. The frosh
football player was second in the
220 and ran the opening leg of the
440-yard relay.
Johnny Neumann also entered
four events and bad an outstand-
ing day for the frosh thinclads.
Neumann paced the North Tex-
ans to a win in the 440-yard relay
with his sizzling anchor leg and
then finished second to Priestley iri
the 100-yard 'lash with a 10.1. In
the 220, Neumann outlasted Priest-
ley, running a 21.8 around the
curve for the win.
