SOME REAL FACTS
While we are sure every one who
has thought on the subject or looked
up the figures knows that since the
Guaranty Fund Law went into ef-
fect not a single depositor in a State
Bank in Texas has ever lost a cent;
however we think it well to remind
you of that.
It is a further fact that all Savings
Departments in Texas State Banks
can show a similar record. In addi-
tion to the interest allowed the de-
positor has the special protection
afforded by the requirement that all
funds must be invested either in
bonds or first lien real estate mort-
gages the loan in each case not to
exceed 50 per cent of the value of
the real estate. The further fact
that no officer can borrow a dollar
out of the Savings Department is a
protection worth considering.
We appreciate all accounts and
want to treat every customer with
proper consideration.
