morning a proposition was submitted
by Mr. C. 1. Camp of Navasota for
a new hotel to be built In this city.
Mr. Camp's proposition Is as follows:
To organize a stock company capi-
talized at $2o000 to build a three-
story hotel building on the corner of
Regent and Anderson streets the site
of the Bonneville house. Mr. Camp
agrees to take $5000 of the stock and
to lease the hotel for ten jean at the
following rentals: First year $1200
second year $1500 and $1600 per an-
num for the remaining part of the ten
years.
Mr. Camp asks the assistance of the
Commercial Club In organizing the
company and is ready to start to work
at once. The proposition was thor
oughly discussed by the club and a
committee composed of Messrs. Ed
Hall and J. W. Batts was appointed to
discuss the matter with Mr. CamD and
report at the 0ext meeting of the di
rectors.

When he reached the place where he
was to leave the wagon he got out and
started to his home. That was the
last that was seen of him alive. His
family became uneasy on account of
his failure to return home and early
Sunday morning began a search for
him. He was found about noon dead.
It Is supposed that he was either sick
or that he sat down to rest :md fell
asleep.

his friends and the people generally.
Mr. Gammon has teen a close observer
for several years of Bryan nnd its
affairs and believes he is In a position
to serve the people efficiently as an
alderman. He Is at least willing to
give enough bf his time to thoroughly
study and understand every question
that comej up In managing the affairs
of the city and then act upon It in
the way that will result In the great-
est good to the greatest number.
