J. D. Bradley vu born in Alabama.
September 10th 1SU2 came to Texas in
1S6T) and settled at Houston. He was
married to Miss Idella Hednmn in Wash-
ington eotinty Texas in 18S3 and mov-
ed to Abilene in 1S8-1 where be has since
lived. He became a member of tbe M. B.
church south in May l.ssa in whose
communion he remained till deathwhich
occurred on the 0th day of December
1SSH after a severe and painful illness
from pneumonia. But our loss is his
gain ;. he ; died strong in-the faith and in
the hope of tKl gospel of Jesus Christ.
He leaves a widowed wife and iittlecbiid
with a brother and other relatives t

in Waco and an effort on the part
of that. city to get the San Anto-
nio & Aransas Pass ratlroad has
no reference to the northwestern
extension of that road which will
come on by way of Abilene in due
course of time. It is a branch of
that road the Waco folks are after.
What they want is what is known
as the Waco extension.
