BASTROP — The Bas-
trop Public L. rary came
to the rescue again when a
film from United Airlines
arrived before our projec-
tor was repaired. Mrs.
Martin came and ran their
projector. So while pop-
corn was munched every-
one enjoyed a travelog of
places of interest in the
United States.
Ice cream cones re-
ceived undivided atten-
tion and had no time to
drip when a second ice
cream social was held.
In the future this will be
a once a month event,
but with a special one for
Father s Day we managed
to have two in June. For
some reason there were
no complaints about
scheduling them too close
together.
Refreshments were also
served at Happy Hour
last week. Every Thurs-
day morning coffee and
juice are served, but oc-
casionally donuts or sweet
rolls are added to the
menu. Happy Hour is a
time to visit and have a
cup of coffee (and some-
times a donut). So why
not join your friends at
Bastrop Nursing Center
any Thursday morning
at 10 a.m.
Remember Matt Collins
on his birthday July 13.
