Journal Stall Photo by TERRY CARTER
Happy Valentine's Day
During a Valentine's Day party held at Pine Lodge Nursing Home Thursday, from left, Maudie Abel was
named a Valentine Queen and Ned Stuckey was crowned King of Hearts.
Mcl eod School is going to have a
computer walk. It will be like a walk-
a-thon or read-a-thon. All the money
raised through the computer walk
will go for purchasing computers for
the school. At the end of the com-
puter walk program, a fun day will
be heid, along with games and con-
tests
Each student will ask family mem-
bers and friends to be sponsors in
the computer walk. There are three
kinds of sponsors. The best sponsor
is a gold medal sponsor, who
donates $10; the next sponsor is a
silver medal sponsor, who donates
$5; the last is the bronze medal
sponsor, who donates $3. Students
are urged not to go door to door, but
to just ask close friends and rela-
tives.
Students also earn prizes accord-
ing to how much they collect. For
example, if they collect just $3 they
will receive an award ribbon. They
then collect $10 they will receive a
giant lollipop in addition to the rib-
bon.
If they collect $20, they receive a
flexible sun visor, the lollipop and
the ribbon. If they collect $30, they
receive a Frisbee flyer and the other
three gifts as well. A collection of
$40 earns them a 32-ounce
squeeze bottle and the other four
prizes as well.
If someone collects $50 they will
