Pewitt PTA to install new officers,
see FHA style show Tuesday night
New officers will be install-
ed at the Pewitt PTA's last
meeting of the school year at
7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, in
the school auditorium.
Mrs. Jack Coker will become
president, Mrs. Toby Culver
vice president, Mrs. Joe Wake-
field secretary, and Mrs. Scot-
ty Hogue treasurer.
Mrs. J. W. Jordan, a former
PTA president, will be the in-
stalling officer.
Pewitt home economics stu-
dents under the direction of
Mrs. Gerald Hampton will pre-
sent their annual style show
entitled "Mod Holiday" at the
meeting. They will model all
types of clothing they have
made ranging from swim suits
to costume suits.

Mrs. W. N. Callaway return-
ed home Saturday from a re-
cent visit with her daughter
and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Chambliss in Abilene.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur An-
thony of Ida, La., Mr. and
Mrs. Rex Anthony and Wayne
of Mira, La., and Mrs. Mary
Taylor of Bossier City, La.,
visited with Mrs. Emma An-
thony Sunday.

Mrs. Edgar Presley was host-
ess Tuesday to the Daniels
Chapel Home Demonstration
Club.
Mrs. M. L. Fulgham, presi-
dent, conducted the business
session.
Mrs. M. N. Heard wab nom-
inated by the club as its can-
didate for Morris county's out-
standing senior citizen.
The report of tbc council
delegates was given and a
number of projects discussed.
The program was on recrea-
tion and games, and a demon-
stration cf tableware. Refresh-
ments of punch, cookies, sand-
wiches, pickles and nuts were
served.

June wedding planned
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hicks of Naples have announced the en-
gagement and approaching marriage ot their drujhter,
Patty, to Paul Smith, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Smith
of Mt. Pleasant. The wedding will be an event of June 30
at 7:30 p.m. >n the First Methodist Church of Naples. The
bride is presently attending Texarkana College, and the
prospective bridegroom is employed at the Lone Star Ord-

ples beauty pageant were at
work this week perfecting
their talent skits walk-on
techniques for the annual
event Saturday night, May 20.
Bill Henderson will serve as
master of ceremonies and Mrs.
Ken Alexander as pianist at
the pageant at the Naples
Motor Inn pool at 7:30 p.m.
Contestants and their skits
include Miss Beth Ramsey,
modeling "four seasons" of
clothing; Miss Barbara Ander-
son, piano solo; Miss Brenda
Miller, dance routine; Miss
Kaye Carlisle, twirling rou-
tint; Miss Becky Erian, vocal;
Miss Suzan Womack, panto-
mime; Miss Judi McCown, gui-
tar and vocal solo; Miss Janice
Barrington, vocal solo; Miss
Laura Tigert, fire baton rou-
tine; and Miss Glenna Higgins,
reading.
A special splash party and
hamburger supper around the
Inn pool for the Miss Naples
contestants and pageant com-
mittee chairmen will be held
at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 12.
The party will also be a prac-
tice session.
