Our Baptist revival meeting
closed Sunday night with good suc-
cess. We had good attendance at
day and night services. Twenty-
five new additions to the church.
The Thompson brothers brought
the wonderful messages.
The baptism was held at 4:00
o'clock Sunday afternoon in Mr.
Ebb Lummus' pond. Fourteen
were baptised. There was a large
crowd.
Mrs. Frank Lummus will lead
the prayer meeting Saturday night.
Everyone come and be prepared to
take part.
We will have good preaching
Sunday and Sunday night in the
Baptist church. Everyone come
and bring someone with you.
Visitors in the R. F. Gillespie
home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs.
H. R. Gillespie and R. J., Mr. and
Mrs. Jessie Warren and Theron
Dean, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Lyle

day with Miss Reba Pyle, who ac-
companied her home Sunday for
a few days' visit.
Bobby and Janie Steele are vis-
iting relatives at Pittsburg and
Gilmer.
Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Stiger and
boys visited Sunday with her sis-
ter in Texarkana.
Mrs. Tom Lyon and three chil-
dren are visiting her mother, Mrs.
Ida Wilson.
Little Bobby Lynn Cargle visit-
ed Mrs. G. G. Pynes a few days
last week.
Mr. F. T. Pruitt of Gilmer vis-
ited from Wednesday to Saturday
with his daughter, Mrs. E. E.
Steele.
Several from here attended the
singing at Texarkana Sunday aft-
ernoon.
Mrs.- W. T. Duncan and sons,
Jack and W. C. Duncan; Mrs. Loyd
Carpenter and son, Billie of Pitts-
burg, spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Jerald Bryant.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Arnold spent
Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Nute
Dolphin, in Texarkana.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Cobb and lit-
tle grandson, Bob Spivey, Mrs. J.
M. Baucum visited Monday even-
ing with Mr. and Mrs. Murph and
Mrs. Odie Kenneday.

Mrs. Onie Gallaway of Commerce
and daughter, Mrs. Lyle Tatton of
Washington, and Mrs. J. M. Eller

home for a week's vacation. Her

last week with Mrs. Tine Lee and
other relatives.
Sunday is the beginning of the
revival. Rev. Deering will be here
on Monday. Hoping to have a
fine meeting and good attendance.
