The recently organized McDowell
Music Club met Saturday afternoon at
the home of the leader Mrs. Sam G.
Thompson.
The club is composed of the person-
nel of the music class of Mrs. Thomp-
son's. The; purpose of the club is to
discuss famous musicians and familiar-
ize the young people with the famous
masters.
The meeting was opened with a short

The Woman's Auxiliary of the First
Presbyterian church will meet Mon-
day afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The de-

The St Valentine season was given
recognition throughout the party giv-
en Friday evening when Misses Virgin-
ia and Gladys Bowden was hostesses
and gave pleasure to a large assembly
of friends.
The rooms were effectively decorated
in hearts cupids and other sugges-
tions of the season and formed a de-
lightful environment for the game ta-
bles where forty-two gavo the diver
