one inch to unknown depths and is
of every known kind of substance

Tne Ad. Brought the Cat Back.
Sir I lost a valuable cat lost
strayed or stolen. I advertised for
it in a urorainent newspaper but
didn't get the cat back. Then I
tried The News. You told me as
you put the cash for the advertise-
ment in your money 'drawer that
you had no doubt the cat would see
the ad. in The News and come
back of herself. Within 36 hours
from the appearance of the adver-
tisement the cat appeared at my
my window and scratched to come
in. I am not prepared to say
whether the-cat saw the ad. herself
and acted on it or whether some
one found her picked her up and
dropped her in my yard after see
ing the ad. At any rate the cat
came back and I feel grateful to
the News. Letter in Providence
