these pledges at once. A subscription
that followed resulted in the raising

reached that point where they
took up the election of officers for
the ensuing year. Mrs. Kate. B. How-
ard of Palestine was placed in nomi-
nation by Mrs. Nunn and seconded by
Mesdames Watson Ledford Murdock
and Elgin. Airs. John H. Reagan wag
placed in nomination by Mrs. Rober-
deau of Austin seconded by 3fes-
danie3 Crawford Bryan and Miss
Dunovan When the vote was count-
ed it was found that Mrs. Howard
received 1 IS and Mrs. Reagan 7'J.
Mrs. Mary Hunt.Affleck was elected
First Vice-President by acclamation.
