60 TO SAN ANGELO FAIR
The Special Train for the San Angelo Fair
This Morning Had 531 Passengers.
There were ten coaches in the train
that left Brownwood at seven o'clock
this morning for San Angelo. It was
hard to tell whether the train was in
charge of the Brownwood Floral Club
with Mrs. WD. Armstrong as presi-
dent or under the direction of Howard
Payne College with Prof. J. S. Hum-
phreys in charge. A large number
of the passengers were Howard Payne
students gaily decorated with the col-
lege colors and loaded with6 banners
and pennants. These were accom-
panying the Howard Payne foot ball
team and they went to get If they
can the scalps of the team from the
San Angelo Training School. One
thing certain Brownwood will not lack
for rooters at the ball game today
and San Angelo will have to do some
hard work or lose a ball game.
All of the 531 passengers were prop-
erly tagged with glaring colored ship-
ping tqgs. On these were the words:
"Boostbrjfor the Big Brownwood Car-
nival Nov. 23 to 2S" the opposite side
giving a liSt of the feature days of the
carnlval. Dozens of the Brownwood
people were also provided with mega-
phones and tin herns. At every sta -
Hon along the route they announced
the qarnlval attractions through the
noisy megaphones to the wondering
people and created all kinds of noises
with their tin horns. At San Angelo

the fact that San Angelo has set aside
