What Do You Think of This
you Brown wood merchants?
The Beaumont Journal of last Sunday carried one advertisement that filled
sixteen pages. The advertiser is a department store man and he didn't
put the ad in the paper as an experiment or "to help the editor." On the
contrary the advertisement was in the regular course or business and was
inserted for the sole purpose of selling goods that he had in stock. He ad-
vertises in the Journal every day and is a successful merchant who has ris-
en to his present success from a very small beginning. You can well imag-
ine that he is not one of those who doubts that advertising pays.

Great Future for China.
I have always hoped that some day
China woulg.xake her phice among the
great nations of the world. 1 have al-
ways believed that that day was com-
ing but until now I never believed I
should see it. I have seen the awak-
ening of China from her loig sleep
and I have believed lhat before many
ears the country would he fully
awake. Xow I know that I shall see
the great political reorganization of
China and in a very short time. And
when China is under a new govern-
mental rule her advance will be very
rapid much more rapid than the ad-
ance oi japan. j
