Over one - hundred guests
called during the hours of 2 to 5
at the Open House on October
20th honoring Mr. and Mrs. C.
J. Hicks on their 50th wedding
anniversary. Hosts for the occa-
sion were their children Mrs.
Will Greer of Dallas; and Cor-
nell Hicks, Wylie.
The Golden color theme was
carried out in decorations
throughout the house. The re-
freshment table was covered in
gold net over gold satin, and
centered with a beautifully dec-
orated cake topped with the num-
bers "50". Gold punch was
served the guests.

were nieces of the couple Mrs.
L. A. Thompson, Mrs. Harvey
Moore and Mrs. H. F. Moore; and

ien.
The bride-elect was born in
San Antonio and attended grade
schools in Texas, and high school
in Macon where she was presi-
dent of the Student Council for
the five Macon high schools. She
was also cheerleader and Home-
coming Queen for I960.
She attended Wesleyan Col-

lege and the University of Geor-
gia, majoring in elementary ed-
ucation. At Wesleyan she was on
the Homecoming court, a cheer-
leader and elected the best
dressed girl on the campus.
At the University of Georgia
she was a member of Alpha Del-

(Air Force) Miss Athens and
first runner-up as Miss Georgia
1962, Miss Modern Venus, Sigma
Chi Sponsor. Georgia Peach and
winner of National Peach Queen
of U. S. A.
Miss Jones has been model-
ing since 1960 when she model-
ed for Seventeen Magazine on
"What's New" in Atlanta. She
now enjoys professional model-
ing. Miss Jones amde her debut
in Macon, Ja.. having been pre-
sented at the Bon Hommos Yle
Ball of 1962.
