The Avolonte Club, oldest girl's club on the campus, was organized in 1922. The name signi-
fies "pleasure with direction" and the motto is "happiness for all." Their club colors, green and
gold, were carried out in the tea given for freshmen girls at the home of Mrs. B. C. Barnes.
"Down Argentine Way" was the theme of their informal, November 16. Informal initiation at
Roach's Camp on Lake Worth, a Christmas party, and a Mexican dinner were among their activi-
ties.
The spring formal, given April 26, had as its theme, "April Showers." Ed Daniel's orchestra, set
in a cloud, umbrellas around the walls, and raindrop balloons constituted the chief decorative effects.Y
