nesday visiting with friends.

A. C. Brown and Alois Rutz
of the View Point section were
in town yesterday paying their
taxes and attending to other
business.
Henry Mehlhop, one of those
jolly good farmers living north
ast of town, was meandering
around among the merchants in
this man's burg Tuesday evening
The right Honorable "Bill"
Olark, of Shattuck, returned
horns Sunday morning accom-
panied by his wife and son, after
a week's stay in these parts visit-
ing with Mr. and Mrs. M. L
3obo and family.
Martin Bussard, the past week,
originated anew system for catch-
ing "bunny." Immagin our
surprise when we are psesented
vith one canned in a stove pipe.
Alartin says, "its just biff, bing"
and you have him.
Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Wheat re-
turned yesterday evening from
Barney, N. M., where they have
been the past week visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. J. Howlett. The
trip was made overland in a Ford
and several different kinds of
weather and roads were encoun-
tered bnt good time was made
nevertheless.
N N. blather Liv iug west of
town drove up Main street with
a pair of wagon trucks spaced off
at about a half block apart. Now
that is some wagon aud the ques-
tion that is bjthering the editor
is, what was he to haul in that
long rig? Newt is a hustler and
always has an eye for good things
aud we kinder thought perhaps
he was going to load up a couple
of the new ^lant broom coru seed
for next summer's planting.
Berlin Vlillhollon is getting to
be some hustler in the way of
buying and selling rattle. The
past week he drove- a bunch of
forty over from the Oklahoma
side, aud presto like tue magic
wand of the Hiu :o's legerdemain
apt, the cattle were bought up
' right now.'' He has went after
another buuch of good stuff to
fee I and it wouldn't surprise
Lime Light a bit if it would he
bought up with the same prompt-
ness.
Ljime Light has put in strong for
better schools, better roads and
even railroads and Hour mills
but this week it breakr from the
regular want list and put in an
order for a good, heavy wet snow
or an equal good downpour of
rain to soak up this good old
earth of ours. There is plenty of
seasoning in the ground ior the
present but it would be accept
able te have a little more mois-
ture stored uo for the spring
months of tiie year when spring
plowing and planting time comes.
The Wolf Creek Valley is a pret-
ty picture when the winter wheat
is shooting up, the kafir also
spreading its green leaves while
milo, the broomcorn and the
alfalfa are keeping pace with the
rest. Gee, it is sure a hum-ding-
er in the Wolf Creek Valley at
that time of year.
