Of Amarillo Wants Support
Of Lipscomb County
L. A. Woods of Amarillo, Tex-
as urges the folks of Lipscomb
County to support him here dur-
ing the Democratic Primary .as
State Superintendent of Public
Instruction. He holds the degrees
of Bachelor of Arts, Master of
Arts, and Doctor of Laws from
Baylor University. Mr. Woods is
an untiring worker. He has given
unstlntingly of his time for the
social, religious, and educational
betterment of the State of Texas.
Sheriff Shahan of Lipscomb
County takes the opportunity of
i thanking each and every voter
in the County for their splendid
co-operation and favors extended
him in the past, and Is asking
'their continued support In the
future. He has no opponent this
; year but urges every voter to go
to the polls on Saturday July 23rd
and cast their vote at the Demo-
cratic Primary. It really means
something to Lipscomb County
to have a large representative
vote at the Primary the Sheriff
; says. Sheriff Shahan seems to be
holding the Sheriff's Office down
in grand style as nobody has
challenged him for a race this
year. The Sheriff is everybodys
friend, he Is more than willing
at any time to be of service to
you, any time ithat he can be olf
any help to you in any way that
is possible he is always ready to
lend a helping hand.
WHO IS IT
Fellow brings up the question
of whether men or women are the
safest aufamobile drivers. But
A new official state uniiform
will soon be on display over
Texas--the game warden's uni-
form. Secretary Will Tucker of
.the Game, Fish and Oyster Com-
mission, announced that the uni-
forms would be Installed. The
new uniforms are forest green In
color, and wardens may wear

Pearl Boyd who by the way is
one of the Old Timers of Lips-
comb County, is considered to be
one of the pioneers, when it

is now serving his 24th year as
County Clerk for Lipscomb Co-
unty. Regardless who ever came
out against Pearl, nobody ever
heard him give his opponent any
mud slinging and he has wen
the name of being one of the
cleanest candidates ever to make
a race in Lipscomb Counity. All
the more reason that Pearl al-
ways walks off with the " large
end of the votes, we always find
P. O. right down there on the
Job any old time one goes down
to the County Seat. Other offi-
cials may be attending to busi-
ness matters elsewhere but you'll,
allways find Pearl down there ,
able to attend to your wanits. So:

chance against a fellow like Pearl.
