Two Nice Showers
*
During Past Week
Two nice showers were given last
week for two of Follett's June
Brides in the M. E. church
basement. Last Thursday night
a shower was given Miss
Lola Sewell, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. W. H. Sewell,
of this place when she received
many beautiful and useful gifts
and on Friday night a shower
was given Miss Evelyn Crump,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. A.
Crump also of this city. Miss
Evelyn like Miss Lola received
many beautiful and useful gifts.
Mrs. A. C. Teter was called upon
to entertain at Miss Evelyn's
shower and Miss Lesta Lee
Sharpe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
M. C. Sharpe sang a very beau-
tiful solo with Miss Lola Sewell
at the piano. After which Miss
Evelyn Crupip and Mr. Ira A.
Francis unwrapped and opened
their gifts. Ice cream and cake
were served to all present. On
both occasions the June Brides
thanked the folks for the gifts.
At a late hour those attending
the showers wished the young
ladies the best of success and a
happy married life, after which
all departed for their homes. A
large number of folks attended
both of these showers. The ladies
who got up these showers de-
serve a word of praise for getting
up such nice showers.

: Storage Wheat
Often times the storing of grain does not prove profitable for
either the owner or the elevator storing the grain. Storing
grain, however, has become a common custom, therefore, we
are glad to announce that we, as usual, are in a position to ren-
der to our customers satisfactory storage service.
The iolldwing is our Storage Tariff and Rules that became ef-
fective June 1st, 1938: lc Per Bushel For The First 30 Days Or
Fraction Thereof, after which the rate will be 1-30 of lc per
bushel per day. Storage Charges Start When The Grain Is
Dumped. Arrangements Must Be Made For Storage Grain, and
if arrangements have jiot been made and the truck driver does
not advise that the grain is for storage, it in every case will be
considered purchased.
We wish to take this opportunity to thank you, and assure
you that your cooperation is truly appreciated. We shall con-
tinue to show our appreciation by endeavoring to render a
worth-while service.
With Kind Wishes, We Are
Very Truly Yours,
Manager,
LESTER McKEE.
