FOLLETT WINS TWO GAMES
Last Friday, Follett Panthers
motored to Booker to play them
another conference basketball
Kftme, which Follett won by a
nurrow margin of three points
The score was 13 to 10 In favor
of the Panthers The game was
put on ice when Davidson of Fol-
lett rang up six. points from the
middle of the court, the ball
traveling through the rafters of
Booker's "Shoe Box", in the last
minutes of the game, Boy, what
a game! Tuesday, Higgins in-
vaded the "Rocky Mountains" of
the Panthers Gym. When they
saw the "Open Air Pavilion" they
wondered how they could dribble
the ball. The Panthers kept their
home record clean by defeating
the Coyotes by a large score of 28
to 12. Rice rang up three points
in the first minute of play and
we thought that this was going
to be a Rice affair. The last half
of the game, the second string
played. They had done better
than the first stringers. Sharp?
was the outstanding player of the
Follett team and Rice of the Coy-
otes. Next Friday, Jan. 21, the
Panthers will journey down to
Lipscomb to play them a con-
ference game. Follett is tied with
Darrouzett so far in the Round
Robin Series. Everybody help
your local team. I hope.—Wheez-

Here are a few poems written by
Fourth Graders.
"MY PONY"
I have a beautiful pony,
He is brown and white,
I love my beautiful pony—
And think he's a beautiful
sight!
I like to ride my pony—
My pony brown and white
I love my little pony—
With all my love and might.
I feed my pony straw and hay,
My pony brown and white—
My pony ran away one day,
And didn't have a bite!
—Richard Tucker.
"MY BIRD"
I have a little Birdie
He has the name of Dickie;
He sings and flies around me,
And never tries to pick me.
—Imogene Fox.
