Notice of School House
Bond Election.
Notice is hereby given that an
election will be held at the school
house in the town of Darrouzett,
within the Darrouzett Indepen-
dent School District, on the 7th,
day of July, 1923, to determine
whether the bonds of said Dar-
rouzett Independent School-Dis-
trict shall be issued to the amount
of fifteen thousand dollars, pay-
able serially as follows, to wit:
$375.00 on fche 10th, day of
April,1924, and $375.00 on the
10th, day of ^April of each and
every year thereafter to and in-
cluding the year 1964, and bear-
ing interest at the rate of six
per cent per annum, for the
purpose of constructing
and equipping a public
free school building of brick and
concrete material, and purchasing
a site therefore, within said dis-^
trict, and to determine whether
or not there shall be annually
levied and collected upon all tax-
able .property within such dis-
trict for the current year and
annually thereafter while
said bonds, or any of them,
are outstanding a tax sufficient
to pay.the current interest on
said bonds and provide a sink-
ing fund sufficient to pay ""the
principal at maturity.
Walter Beck has been appoint-
ed judge of said election and
Harry J. Cassna and C. C. Coul-
trup have been appointed clerks
of said electron, and the manner
of holding said election shall be
governed, as near as may be. by
the general election laws of this
State, except as modified by
Chapter 24 of the Acts of the Re-
gular Session of the Thirty-
Seventh Legislature of Texas, re-
lating to school house bond
elections and school tax elections.
None but qualified property tax-
paying voters of said Darrouzett
Independent Sehool District
shall vote at said election. 4
Those desiring to .vote in favor
of the issuance of the bonds and
levy of the tax in payment there-
of, shall have written or printed
upon their ballots: "For the is-
suance of the bonds and the levy-
ing of the tax in payment there-
of," and those opposed to the is-
suance of the bonds and levy of
the tax in payment thereof, shall
have written or printed upon
their ballots: ''Against the is-
suance of the bonds and the levy-
ing of the tax in payment there-
of."
Said election was ordered by
the- Board of Trustees of said
Darrouzett Independent School
District by order passed on the
6th, day of June, 1923 and this
notice is given pursuant to said
order.

Sumayeh Attiyeh, born at Tripoli.

and the West." Miss Attiyeh's father
was an officer of the Turkish gov-
ernment under Sultan Abdul Hamed.
She 3i>ent her early life in a Chris-
tian Mission at Damascus, coming to
this country at' the age of fifteen to
finish her education.
Miss Attiyeh is a brilliant and elo-
quent lecturer thoroughly conversant
with Turkish conditions that are now
?o much in the world's spotlight.

garage in the town of Follett,
Texas, the undersigned will sell
at public auction, for cash, to the
highest bidder, one Case four-
cylinder automobile, Engine No.
29611, Serial No. 30712, same to
be sold in satisfaction of sums
owing the undersigned for labor
and materials furnished by them
in the repairing of said automo-
bile and for storage _ thereof,
the said charges for labor and
materials amounting to $11.50
and said storage charges being
$35.00 to said day of sale.
Notice of such sale is expressly
given to J. F. Miller, the owner
of said automobile^ whose place
of "residence is unknown to the
undersigned.
