Services were excellent at Broth-
ers Chapel. Rev. O. A. Meador
spoke at the 11 o'clock hour using
as a subject: "Making a Record."
When the Cuero High School
girls played in the city, of Roses
two weeks ago and loat, they said
on returning home how rough and
profane the Victoria players acted.
Even the lady referee was accused
of using unlady-lilke language. Not
a Cueroite would dare to call the
contest a "hog tussle." There is a
certain amount of modesty that
should be practiced by all ladies
and gentlemen when visiting other
towns, but the Victorians ignored
it in Cuero on their trip to see the
"hog tussle." They should be more
temperate and keep their mouths
closed and not let those who are
near them amell their foul breaths.
The "hog tussle" ended fn a score
of 19-11 and every point contested
was not counted, which shows that
the V. H. S. Beea were outclassed
in playing and returned home buss-
ing, but stingiess.
Sunday School at Macedonia was
well attended. Supt. and teacher*
were at their posts. Mrs. C. L.
Gathins reviewed the lesson with
much inter.set The pound part giv-

the Home Mission sisters was a
success. After the president, Mrs.
C. W. Mien presented the large
number of pounds to the pastor in a
timely way. The pastor's expression
of gratitude was heart deep, also
Mrs. Meadow's.
Sunday School, at the A. M. E.
Church was on time. Rev. J. S.
Bagneris used for a subject: "Fol-
lowing Jesus," in his morning dis-
course, at 3:80 he apoke on "To
Whom Shall We Go." And again at
7:80 he ielivered a wonderful mes-
sage; "The Blood."
The trip to Mexico Saturday
night, Feb. 3, waa enjoyed by all.

by the ghosts.

ST. JOHN B. CHURCH
Rev. M. L. Price, pastor
Sunday School opened at the
usual hour with superintendent and
teachers at their posts. Each took
charge of their class. The lesson
was very thoroughly reviewed by
the pastor. At 11 a.m. The Star
Light band rendered a wonderful
program and at 11:15 the pastor
delivered a wonderful sermon. B.
y. P. U. was very interesting with
