Belle Campbell Marks
90th Birthday Sunday
Descendants spanning
(our generations and a host
of friends gathered Sunday
at Crosbyton Care Center to
help Belle Campbell cele-
brate her 90th birthday. A
resident of this community
for over 60 years, Mrs.
Campbell was born Valen-
tine Day, Feb. 14. 1887, in
Lead Hill, Ark.
The honoree is the mother
of five and has 10 grand-
children, 23 great-grand-
children, and a number of
great-great-grandchildren.
Her children are Mrs. Viola
Senior Citizens Will
Hear Loyd Hall Friday
Crosbyton Senior Citizens
will hold their regular
monthly luncheon and
meeting this Friday, Feb.
18, in the party room of
Pioneer Memorial Building
The meeting is to be called
to order at 10:30 a.m.
SPRABERRY GUESTS
Bruce, Stephanie, and j officials say
Randy Spraberry, Brian,
Vickie, and Staci Spraberry
visited this past week end
with Mr. and Mrs. M. B.
Spraberry.
Loyd Hall, minister of the
Church of Christ, has
accepted an invitation to
speak.
A covered dish meal is to
be served at lunch, and
table games will be played
in the afternoon hours.
"All are welcome to come
enjoy a good meal, games
and sweet fellowship,"
VISIT MOTHER
Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wayne
Jones and Sherry of Canyon
spent the week end with
their mother and grand-
mother, Vera Jones.
UPCHURCHES VISIT
IN CALIFORNIA
Mr. and Mrs. F. M.
Upchurch visited a month
in Ontario, Calif., with their
| daughter and son, Mr. and
Mrs. L. C. Pavao and Mr.
and Mrs. RayT-Upchurch.
They also visited with a
grandson, Mrj and Mrs.
Eddie Glen Cunningham,
Jason and Bradley.
Marley of Crosbyton,
Chester Campbell of
Marble Falls, Mrs. Ivy Wall
of Crosbyton, Mrs. Elvie
Mackey of Lubbock, and
Mrs. Leo KoWder of Hale
Center.
VALENTINE THEME
The serving table,
situated in the Care Center
dining room, was decorated
in a Valentine theme. It was
covered with a white
tablecloth and held red,
pink and white Valentines.
The centerpiece was attrac-
tive with pink and white
carnations bearing a gold
"90."
Pink punch was served
from a crystal punch bowl.
Red and white Valentine
cookies and mints were
served from a crystal bowl.
Three granddaughters
offered well-wishers cake
slices from a white cake
trimmed in pink. Grand-
daughters assisting with
hospitalities were, Mrs.
Lavelle Minder of Idalou,
Mrs. Bonnie Wall and
Yvonnda Walters, both of
Crosbyton.
The honoree was married
January 31, 1904 to S. R.
Campbell In Haskell
County. In 1916 the family
moved to the East Plains,
where they were engaged
in farming.

MATT DENTON MOVED
TO CARE CENTER
Mat tie Denton was moved
last Saturday to Crosbyton
Care Center. Mrs. Denton
has been receiving medical
attention at Methodist Hos-
pital in Lubbock since suf-
fering an apparent stroke at
her home In Crosbyton. Her
sister, Irene Coffey of
Redondo Beach, Calif,, is
here visiting.

the meeting with prayer.
