The Hastings Home Demon-
stration Club met with Mrs. W.
K. Graham on Wednesday, May
18. A song was sung Hnd Mr*. F.
B. Tonroy led in prayer.
There were nineteen old mem-
bers answered to the roll call.
Two new members were reported
Hnd nine visitors.
Miss Milie Haliey gave a very
interesting; talk on the Improve-
ment of the living room. Follow-
ing the iidjournment of the regu-
lar meeting, Minn Hnlsey assem i
bled the members in the yard to
make some group pictures. Then
a picture whs made of Mrs. Grn
ham's cheese. It whs then cut
and sampled by those that wen j
there.
Various games wore played htk!
enjoyed by all. The next meet-

The Orcers Orove home dem-
onstration Club met last Thurs-
day, May 21 «t, at the home of
Mrs. D. G. Humber. Several of
the Club members were absent
but all who were present report a
very helpful meeting.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schroeder
were shopping in Rreckenridge
j last Wednesday.
A heavy 'nail storm visited this
community last Thursday p. m.
and did quite a lot of damage to
crops and gardens.
Some are having their barley i
and oats cut and they are very-
light and in some cases will not
pay expense of harvesting.
Mrs. Tom Pohinson passed
away last Sunday morning after
a lingering illness of several
months. She had b. n in th
Harris Sanitarium for about sev-
en months and had only returned
home a few days ago. She had
many friends in this community
who were truly grieved at her
passing away. Almost every on1
from this community attendH
her funeral in Moran last Monday
afternoon. We surely sympathize
with this splendid family in the
loss of their loved one.

The home demonstration Club
of Post Oak community, Shackel-
ford county, met at the Post Oak
teacherage Friday afternoon. The
subject, home demonstration work
was discussed. Mrs. Arthur TJeb

status of the work in Texas," was
discussed by Miss Maye Vickers.

ence of home demonstrations.

On Sunday morning at 8:00

Mrs. Tom Robinson, passed away .mm on

We take this means of thank-
ing the many friends of the Al-
bany, Moran, and Ibex communi-
ties who hnd any part whatsoever
after an illness which lasted over
a period of several months.
She spent some seven or eight
months in the Harris Sanitarium
at Fort Worth and everything
that could be done was done to
alleviate her suffering, and a
week or two ago she was brought
home with the understanding that
all had been done for her thnt
was possible'.
Rev. Underwood, her pastor
from Albany, assisted by the Mo-
ran pastor, conducted the funeral
