the treets as if they owned the
place.
Some doubt that the streets of
Fort (Jriffin have bad wild tur-
keys on them since the town was
built back in the early 1870's. In
tho e days the ea on wag always
open on turkeys, and the native
fowls did not venture close to in-
habitated places.
However, ince the season has
been closed on turkey in this coun-
ty many years, the pure strain
the purest in the state of wild
turkey is coming back, and the
fowl > are becoming very tame.

TO ALBANY CHURCH
Rev. I). I). Denison, pa.stor of
the Albany Methodist church the
past four years, was transferred
to the Merkel Methodist church by
the Northwest Texas Conference
in session at Sweetwater last week.
The announcement of appoint-
ment- was made Sunday.

been pastor of the Stratford
church. Rev. and Mrs. Thompson
and their 1year old son will ar-
rive in Albany this week. They
have a daughter who is a student
in Texas Tech, at Lubbock.
Rev. and Mrs. Denison and aon,
.James Dickey, have a host of
friends in this community who re-
gret to lose them, but who are glad
tu know that Rev. Denison is go-
in>r to a larger church. He has
bad four very successful years in
Albany.
During the past twelve months

budget, paying all obligations in
full.
During the year Rev. Denison
