Albany's crack dairy judging
team, with their teacher, C. K. Hill,
wore in College Station Monday to i
enter the state judging contest it j
A. & M. College. This team, com- I
posed of Hennie Knight, James |
Stewart and Hay Bernstein, won
first place in dairy judging at Joim
Tarleton Collet1' at the recent area
meeting, and Hennie was hivr11
point man of the contest. The win
at Stephenville entitled the team
to represent the area at the state
meet.
The hoys and Mr. Hill drove to
A. ti M. Sunday, and judged Mon-
day. The y will not know what
place they won for some time, but
didn't capture either of the first
five places.
They returned to Albany Tues-
day, and state they greatly en-
joyed the contest, and especially
their visit to the great Texas Agri-
cultural and Mechanical college.
The boys had trouble getting Mr.
Hill away, as he feels at home at
A. & M., having spent four years
there.
The dairy judging team and
their instructor are to be con-
gratulated for their good work.
Their proficiency is a credit to
Albany and Shackelford county.
