DEAR rciulrr, study the hook
of Judges a>ul you will find
(Ik. children of Israel hwom-
lug dissatisfied with their lead-
er, the just and righteous Judge,
hiuuuel. A niiui railed by the
ivice of Gml, wheu he wan but
a rhild, to lead the people,
lie judged righteously, but they
tnld liim they wanted a king a*
ortier nations, and, too, he ««
old, and now, give us a lung.
Hi is request displeased Samuel,
but he went to (iod in prayer
with the matter, (iod was also
displeased with their desires
but said, give them a king. They
luivr turned against Me. Sam-
uel gathered them together at
(.'ilgal in a publie installation
of Saul as king, but they soon
discovered their mistake. God
»» often lets us have our own
way, so tliat we may find finally
Ilis way is best. And regardless
of what we may want. He
knows what we need. Godly
leadership, today, is not prefer-
red by many, but, truly, right-
eousness exalteth a nation, but
sin is a reproach to any people.
6ead God's word and be led by
U spirit.
